Arenal Volcano National Park is a good one day outing...


It is in north central highlands & an easy drive from San Jose or Pacific coast. There are several good resort there with thermal springs & the best zip line you will ever ride. I highly recommend it. Be sure to catch the virgin sacrifices to the volcano gods every full moon.
